A nationally recognised post-trade qualification in Electrical Instrumentation (UEE40411)
This course is delivered face-to-face in a three (3) week block, three weeks consecutive or three (3) separate weeks over a two (2) month period using facilitation, presentations, computer-based learning, and practical individual and group activities. The eight (8) assessment activities are completed in class.
This course delivers 11 units:
- Use instrumentation drawings, specification, standards and equipment manuals (UEENEEI101A)
- Solve problems in pressure measurement components and systems (UEENEEI102A)
- Solve problems in density/level measurement components and systems (UEENEEI103A)
- Solve problems in flow measurement components and systems (UEENEEI104A)
- Solve problems in temperature measurement components and systems (UEENEEI105A)
- Participate in development and follow a personal competency development plan (UEENEEE038B)
- Implement and monitor energy sector environmental and sustainable policies and procedures (UEENEEK145A)
- Implement and monitor energy sector OHS policies and procedures (UEENEEE117A)
- Compile and produce an energy sector detailed report (UEENEEE124A)
- Develop, enter and verify discrete control programs for programmable controllers (UEENEEI150A)
- Develop, enter and verify word and analogue control programs (UEENEEI151A)
The other eighteen (18) units are units which are included from the Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician qualification, and are considered a pre-requisite to enrol in and complete the Certificate IV qualification.
Students will be given credit transfer or recognition of prior learning (RPL) for these remaining units where they provide either a copy of their Certificate III electrical trade qualification and sufficient evidence of their currency in work, such as a current unrestricted electrical licence and evidence of employment within the industry, including specific job tasks and activities.
On completion of the course, participants will have been trained and assessed in 11 units and will have credit transfer or RPL for the additional 18 units, so all 29 units of the qualification will be completed.
Current electrical mechanic or electrical mechanic fitter’s licence.
